Finance Committee

Charge: The Finance Committee recommends the annual budget to the board for approval, as well as making recommendations for policies, procedures, and actions concerning the Academy's finances and fiscal health. Among its other responsibilities are: reviewing the quarterly financial statements of the Academy; reviewing the strategic plan for its fiscal viability; monitoring the performance of the invested funds; and reviewing the audit and management letter with the external auditor annually, in the absence of staff.

Composition: Treasurer (chair), and four other members, at least two of whom must be board members. Committee members selected for their financial expertise need not be AAR members.

Term of Office: Three years, renewable once.
